Crate training your puppy or adult dog is a really rewarding process, for both your dog and for you. It will help to settle them into their new home, will teach them good manners, help with potty training and also their bedtime routine. Providing your dog with a crate shouldn’t be seen as a negative thing. It isn’t about locking them in a cage or keeping them confined, but offers a safe and quiet den all of their own; a little haven that they can take themselves off to when they would like a nap or little bit of quiet time and privacy from the rest of the house. Used correctly, crate doors are more often than not left open for them to come and go as they please.

Offering them chew toys and plush toys in the crate will stop them from getting bored and hopefully prevent them from chewing their crate bedding!
